How to Use a Library Study Room
Follow these steps to find and use a study room.
Step 1: Check if You Need a Reservation
First, check the time and day to see if a reservation is required.
- A reservation is REQUIRED: Monday–Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If you want a room during this time, proceed to Step 2.
- No reservation is needed: All other times (including after 2:00 PM Mon-Thu, all day Fri-Sun), rooms are first-come, first-served. If it is a walk-in time, you can skip Step 2 and go directly to Step 3.
Step 2: Reserve a Room Online (If Required)
If you need a room during the required reservation hours, follow this process:
- Identify desired room and date. Find the date you want and locate an available room. Note: Click “Go to Date” to find future dates.
- Select Your Start Time AND End Time. Click on a green box for the time you wish to begin and scroll down and click the drop-down menu that appears below the schedule to select your end time. Maximum length: 3 hours per day.
- Submit and Confirm. Click the "Submit Times" button, Agree to follow room policies, and then fill out the booking form with your name, student email, and number of students in your group. Finally, submit the form. You will get a confirmation email.
Step 3: Get Your Room
- If you have a reservation: Bring a student or photo ID with you and go to the 2nd-floor Circulation Desk at your scheduled time to check in and get access to your room.
- If it is a walk-in time: Go to the 3rd floor. If a study room is empty, you are welcome to use it.
